This place is mind-blowing! The cottage is super spacious with the comfiest beds and it was spotlessly clean. The balcony room was jaw-dropping, wish we had seen the view in daylight. The location is so convenient, just off the motorway. We had an amazing breakfast at the truck stop down the road. Highly recommended! The kitchen had all the cookware we needed and there were plenty of bathrooms. The breakfast basket was a nice touch. Great location to explore the Lakes. The local pub had super friendly staff and delicious pizzas. Perfect for a group. The host, Alastair, was incredibly helpful and even provided a bed for Ava. Loved the cozy cottage and all the extra touches. We'll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved the cozy and quaint atmosphere of Cumbrian Cottage. The decoration had a charming old-fashioned feel to it, which made me feel right at home. The general areas of the cottage were well-maintained and accessible for senior people like myself. The staff made sure that every detail was taken care of, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there in terms of navigating the steep and dangerous steps. It would have been helpful to have a better handrail and lighting in the dining room and to have a safer rug in the front room.

The hotel staff was helpful and even provided a bed for our toddler. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and enough bathrooms. Alastair, the host, was incredibly helpful from the start, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. the cottage itself was quaint and comfortable, with a sun room and balcony that offered stunning views of the hills. We also appreciated the little touches that made us feel well taken care of. the location was very convenient, being close to the motorway and a truck stop with a great breakfast.
There were a few minor issues, such as an incorrect key code and a faulty light in the dining room. the steep and dangerous steps without a handrail, a trip hazard rug, and outdated decor were less than ideal.

The Cumbrian Cottage exceeded my expectations! The cozy interior made me feel right at home, and the comfortable bedrooms ensured a good night's sleep. The bathroom, with its refreshing shower, was a lovely touch.
To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the single bathroom setup in the cottage. But hey, that's just my personal preference – others might not mind at all.
